Southern Glory Believes

To write a full description of what we believe, we would have to write the entire Word of God. We believe if its written in the Bible, then it actually happened literally & is not up for debate. If it was commanded or encouraged, we believe it should be obeyed without question. Our goal with this Statement of Faith was to focus on what unites true believers & not get caught up with the doctrines of division & strife.

1. There is only ONE God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, that is manifested through the Holy Trinity as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
    - Genesis 1:1
2. Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God
    -Matt. 3:17
3. Jesus was born of a virgin
    -Matt. 1:23
4. Jesus lived a perfect & sinless life on Earth
    -1 Peter 2:22
5. Jesus was crucified & rose from the dead on the 3rd day
    -Luke 23:33 & Matt. 20:19
6. Jesus is the ONLY path for salvation
    - John 14:6
7. To be saved, one MUST believe in their heart & confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord & that God raised Him from the dead
    - Romans 10:9-10
8. All Christians should try to live a life that is pleasing to God
    - Ephesians 4:1
9. When we mess up & sin, God is faithful to forgive us when we ask for it
    - 1 John 1:9
10. Because Jesus was water baptized, we should be also as a public profession of our faith
    - Luke 3:21
11. The Bible is the perfect, accurate & completely Divinely inspired written word of God
    - 2 Timothy 3:16
12. The gifts & manifestations of the Holy Spirit, as depicted throughout the ENTIRE Bible, are STILL operational & are STILL available to modern Christians as they were to the Saints of the Bible
